after der dritte raums album morgenland kicked up a lot of the same in 2013, it was only a matter of time until the right remixers for the album were found. no less than four amazing producers of todays electronic music scene were allowed to have their way with these tracks, and the results are more than fitting. this 12inch features four powerful club tracks from four outstanding remixers: swayzak, cavaan, lars wickinger and franz noiser.

cromie s bubbling, spacious house sound first drew critical acclaim last year on the sold out 12- vines / pyrex (peach001), a collaboration with fellow la producer sage caswell. now, peach is thrilled to present cromies solo debut ep inner knows, a revved up set of idiosyncratic dancefloor weapons. how to stop a bulldozer, a rotating helix of synth stabs, warped vocals and low-end torque warrants it s epic title. elsewhere, flan functions like a potent concentrate of 22nd century funk. inner knows kicks off side b with a swirling late night house jam that flirts with the deeper corners of the genre. another fixture in la s electronic scene, suzanne kraft (running back, esp institute, pharoahs) closes out the record with a cubist reading of flan. on his solo debut, cromie s creative depth and attention to detail belies his freshness to the game. regular sets at las club called rhonda and various underground happenings in the sprawling southland have taught him some valuable lessons. if he can deliver this many distinct sounds on a single record, we cant wait to hear what’s next.

dustin zahn has gained over 10 years of experience a unique musical diversity as a producer and as a performer. after his recent release on drumcode he is on suara with this enormous ep. *calm like a bomb* is a constant and regular bomb dropping that if you start dancing it will leave you exhausted. it is such a powerful track! this amazing track comes backed with two remixes from two of the best producers in the worldwide scene: paco osuna and slam. osuna does an incredible groovier and darker production while slam brings the cut to another techno level. this is definetely one of the eps of the year!

breathtaking contemporary spiritual jazz from south africa ... when tumi mogorosi composed this suite for jazz musicians and opera vocalists he had never heard the previous successful attempts by donald byrd, max roach or mary lou williams to combine these seemingly unfriendly aesthetics. tumi, born in 1987 and already an accomplished drummer on the joburg scene, was at the time studying music at the tshwane university of pretoria where he became close friends with opera singers working on the same campus. so unlike some of his us peers tumis beliefs are not religious.

hello - were the nuclear family. weve had roots in glasgows electronic music scene for a while, and weve released music separately in the past, under a variety of names, but none of that is too important. for the past year or so, we’ve been shacked up in a tiny southside studio making house and techno that we hope will stand the test of time.

vibe008 open the way to the new techno flavour of the label with nikola gala (rekids) from salonicco, greece. raw sound and dub-techno influences on a1, the dark bassline with this fat kick it s simply killer... breaked by vocal-cut and deep-chord line. attemporal (att series) signed the first remix of the vinyl. the techno duo-project it s one of the new best talent comings out, growing up fast in the scene. with their elegant style the original-mix was been reworked in a conceptual-club version... stay tuned. marcos in dub (highgrade-lokal talk) on b1 pushed out a special remix, just to destroy the main room. love it. on b2 to close the release, kindimmer (lokal talk) that take back us to the detroit-house vibes,with a piano-chord line that floating till the end... feel it.

the last few years has seen a series of well received releases from rhythmic theory, the anonymous techno producer lurking in the shadows of the bristol music scene. *endless forms* is their second release for idle hands and follows on from where the previous ep *legacy of the lost* left off. the title track delves deeper into the sonic realms of classic jungle and comes up for air sounding like dub techno. a weighty bass line propels things along, whilst a sci-fi voice intones the title. this one is a sound system rocker. *tales of dystopia* brings to mind early nineties uk techno with its haunting synths, swung beats and deadly bass line. rhythmic theory is killing it at the moment, expect more to come.

a little over a year since their debut on the label, veteran house producers synchrojack are back on vibes and pepper with another four track ep directly from their archives.

second release of the gost zvuk label, strictly focused on the contemporary russian electronic scene. this joint was made by aem rhythm-cascade also known as dada ques and many other monikers. locked in his studio in st. pete he built his path from a beatmaker to a fundamental composer exploring the acoustics, sound synthesis and sampling techniques. it is hard to relate this music to a certain genre, but you can definitely hear the quality and deepness, spiced with the original slavic touch. simple and raw these multilayered symphonies bring out the new breed of russian composers backed up by their prolific heritage.

luckyme are very proud to present the ‘rosario ep from s-type.s-types rise started in spring 2012. emerging, gleaming and show-stopping from rustie’s seminal bbc essential mix was a track called ‘billboard’ from a new producer that was part of the luckyme family as far back as his teenage years. the track had soundcloud and blog commentators looking around for the hugest most galactic superlatives for this ‘superhero’ music. as skyscraping as the biggest us hip hop instrumentals but born of the ferment of glasgow’s world-wowing club world, it made it into end of year ‘best of’ polls as well as the dj sets of rustie, tnght,and benji b. s-type aka 27 yo scot bobby perman started getting recognised down the shops glasgow. he was catapulted onto a 30 + date us tour and found himself in the studio with kindred spirits araabmuzik and baauer. there were rumours of national electronic goods adverts in south korea and s-type tracks in the running for inclusion on drakes nothing was the same album. on 19th sept 2013, the buzz started all over again as luckyme family member Éclair fifi dropped a new s-type tune ‘rosario’ on her bbc radio 1 in new djs we trust show. now luckyme can announce the wait is over. lm017 aka s-type’s ‘rosario’ ep is coming out on 16/6/2014. ‘rosario’ sets the scene with a 2 min intro called ‘outside (inside)’, featuring rustie and yc the cynic, a rapper from hunts pont, the bronx that xxl called ‘one of the most promising artists in recent years’, the complex wordplay sounding perfect over bobby’s wide screen arrangement. ‘franco’ is a fierce club banger with plenty of his signature chord work. ‘lost girls’ stunts and fizzes in the way only an s-type track can. for the outro ‘inside (outro)’, bobby’s sweeping instrumental sets the scene for long island mc (and one time flipmode squad member) roc marciano, who sharply describes the beat as ‘historic’. s-type addicts, he’s back. early dj support from hudmo, kode 9, baauer, joker, rl grime and jackmaster.

three modern cuts created from a new swedish duo, mount liberation unlimited. the duo have a long heritage in the swedish indie-pop scene but have now taken it further. with a lot of inspiration from techno and house have the appearence become something between indiepop and house, with a great body of analogue expression. junk yard connections is super happy to give out this lovely debut ep!

fantastic reissue of paradises deep grooves seminal * i love ep* produced by nelson * paradise* roman. originally released back in 91, this is one of the true holy grails of deep house. kicking things off is the incredible deep hypnotic groove of * i love*, which became a nyc sound factory classic in the hands of junior vasquez as well as receiving heavy rotation on the underground house scene. the next two tracks * hypnotic flute* and * trance dance* are both excellent but the other really outstanding track is the deep floating * inner mind* with its lush haunting synths and intricate rhythms. top quality house music at its best!
